She'll be fine.
She makes a mockery of rehab.
While I agree with your entire post otherwise, the second statement I quoted may belie the first.
I also agree with billb, though I don't really *know* that she's been playing system, I'd guess that she's been playing Mom and Dad (I don't know her parent structure) from early on. Here's hoping that getting arrested *this* time helps her straighten out.
There are a lot of celebs that have had alcohol/drug problems and have recovered. Stevie Ray Vaughn comes to mind. But there are a few who died young, and it's always tragic when it's so unnecessary. (And no, I can't think of a time when it's *necessary*.)
That pic isn't even close to being "Noltesque". On her worst day, she probably looks better than Nolte did in his last mug shot.
As to giving up her stash, most anybody knows that most junkies aren't born streetwise. They learn, and often it's from going to jail. So maybe she's not a "real" junkie.
Even tossing in a car or on the street doesn't always help one escape a "possession" charge.
In CA, there's no real difference between giving up the dope at the time and place of arrest, and it being found during an intake search. That's not construed as smuggling, but maybe as being stupid.
And there are plenty of white folk who fall through the cracks into the depths of "We don't care." You don't have to be in Harelem to rate the kind of indifference people like us give certain events.
I'm not a fan of the girl except that she shows a lot of Ta, which I wish a lot more females would do. But I hope she pulls out of the tailspin before she crashes and burns.
I'm sure there were those who said Jimi, Janis, and Jim would be fine.
