Thanks. I did some more checking (just put everything back together). The igniter glows, I hear a click, but nothing happens and the igniter shuts off. Then a few seconds later the cycle repeats. FWI understand, this points to bad coils. But it could also be no gas. Should I be hearing a slight hissing sound of gas flowing as the coils open? And, is that clicking sound the coils opening the gas valve, or something else?
If it is an air bubble, I wouldn't know how to bleed a gas line safely. This sounds like a job for my gas co. However I'm pretty sure I'll get charged for a service call if this ISN'T the cause.
