What OS version supports Java J2SE JRE, can Jaguar?
#3
I double-checked -- Java is turned on.

The PayPal pop-up window for domestic postage displays the postage label image just fine.

The pop-up for Priority Mail International fails to display any image and tells me I need the Java 2 runtime environment, and to download Java J2SE JRE.

If I turn off Java in Firefox preferences, then the pop-up windows don't appear for either type of label, which means that both labels do require some version of Java.

All references to Java 2 on the Apple web site do so in the context of OS 10.4. References to Java updates etc for OS 10.2 or 10.3 mention Java but not Java 2.

If the environment run by Jaguar really IS Java 2 then it's still missing something necessary to print the PMI label. Most likely the PMI label is badly coded.

I sent an email to PayPal asking them to troubleshoot their newer USPS labels on older systems so that they won't loose significant revenues from their behind-the-cutting edge customers. Wink

Feh!
