why so SLOW?

I mean, really.. why would you turn it OFF?!?

Because I am the one who pays the electric bill. I turn my computers off whenever they are not in use. That also means that I don't have to worry about whether my USB 2 cards allow deep sleep, or whether the cats are mucking about near the keyboard or mouse at 2AM, etc.

Leaving them on all the time seems a lot odder to me than shutting them down when they are not in use.
