Does anybody have recent experience with satellite internet?
#13
[quote AllGold]What Cary said is true, Sprint has the best coverage and speed for wireless broadband.

The Associated Press equips their reporters and photographers with Sprint cards for data even though they use Verizon for voice.
What AllGold said. Having spent time in an RV with a Internet satellite, it is simply not the way your friend wants to go. Expensive, bulky, hard to point correctly, adds to gas mileage (it's really bulky on the roof), and slow as snot.

Compare that to a 4-ounce device you plug into the side of your Mac. And now, the devices also can plug into a USB slot, so MacBooks are eligible.
