I plug my Black Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook into our 50" Sony projector style TV which shows HD Comcast, altho this is a little lower res, via the Mini VGA port to an adapter to an HDMI cable - as that is the connector left on the TV - and digital audio out to Yamaha amp & speakers. Great for showing avi movies via VLC.
