OT: How to jack up and level a garden shed?
#5
I used a small one-ton, 15" lift, hydraulic automobile lift jack, the kind with a 2' handle that you can remove and that has wheels at both ends. I dug out a shallow pit near each corner to put the jack in and then just lifted the corner and slid some square 2" thick concrete pavers under, then used PT wood for shimming. I left the pits there at each corner for later relevelling if needed. Worked great. That jack also lifted the deck under my hot tub, water still in it, for shimming the support posts. Essential tool for the homeowner as well as the mechanic.
