You can try complaining to whoever was offering the rebate. In your case was it the store that sold it, or was the the manufacturer of the product?
I had one rebate that was taking forever, and I finally got one CSR who gave me a fairly accurate description of what was happening, and even said "I could tell you the same thing the other CSRs told you before, but that wouldn't be the truth".
In my case it was for a Brother Printer, and the problem was that Brother hadn't given the money to the rebate house, so they wouldn't mail the checks. 184 days after I mailed the rebate, I got the check.
