Microsoft to take over Logitech?
#12
[quote MacMagus]> Is that clear now?

I thought you intended to try the Logitech pref pane again and wanted to know what settings I used on the premise that perhaps the difference between your mouse's trouble and my mouse-s trouble-free operation was to do with a setting in the pref pane.

Sorry for that misunderstanding.

I still think you should try plugging the usb dongle into a different port, preferably one built into your computer. your symptom strongly resembles a USB problem and not software.
I do have it plugged into one of the USB ports on the front of my MacPro, so that shouldn't be the issue. I learned about that years ago when, at one time, I had plugged my mouse into a hub and found that it didn't work properly.

There seems to be no similar weirdness with the same port configuration when I 'm using the USB Overdrive software. This leads me to think, as I did before, that it was a Logitech software issue.
