I agree with everything here-- could have written each response above.
It's a bit of a "can't explain" thing. If I had to choose between my 20 gig iPod and my 2 gig nano the nano would win hands-down,
Also, the Nano does better in cold. Also, the Nano goes significantly louder.
The size factor makes much more of a difference than you're thinking, I think.
My next iPod will probably be an 8 gig Nano. My 20 gig iPod is full, but the stuff I end up wanting to listen to most on there is the stuff that's on my Nano.
