I bought a Samsung 4669 46" LCD last Christmas for the family. It's my first HD TV, so I don't have much to compare it to, but HD channels are pretty nice. SD channels originally seemed worse than the old TV, but now they're okay. (Maybe I'm getting used to it.)
Regarding the 120 Hz feature, on this series of sets, many people end up turning it off, because whan you use it you will often get an image of three balls/pucks/whatever when said single object is thrown/hit/whatever. Search for "Triple Ball Effect" or "TBE" for more details or go here:

I ended up turning the 120 Hz off, and I don't notice any difference in picture or motion quality (except for the lack of the two extra ghosts). Whether TBE affects the newer models, I don't know.
