yeah, I think it would be easier to use migration assistant or just re-install the App from scratch. I am not sure why you would insist on moving it over manually...

did you do a lot of customization that might get lost if you start fresh? many times there is a new version of the App out there, so download the latest and the greatest. And what App is is by the way? that might influence the answer.
