BL you have the right idea. Just mimic as best you can how the structure is set up on the iMac. When you launch the app you'll know if you've got it. But if what you want is a detailed step-by-step that'll depend on us knowing more detail and having the exact setup here perhaps.
Is not OK that you can launch the app and if necessary re-do the prefs or something else if need be?

This particular need relates more to trying to get some things set up on my macbook that were previously running on a G3 iBook. I just don't know if there is a 3rd or 4th place to look for files.
I've sort of given up on the iMac for now-- got a whole 'nuther pile of woes relating to having renamed my old user so as not to conflist with the new "main" user's name. Anyways, don't even really want to think about the iMac-- just wondering about the specific questions I posed here in the original post.
Would appreciate any answers from anyone with an understanding.
