I am not sure if it is the same, but I seem to be much more susceptible to cramping up when I eat a lot of carbs (junk food like chips and doughnuts) and do not get enough potassium (bananas). I noticed it went away when I reduced carbs and increased protien on low carb diet. After a couple of days I am able to start exercising without as much warming up.
