Just in case anyone's wondering about screaming en masse at concerts (Beatles, Cheap Trick, Elvis, early Sinatra): it's the sound of thousands of young girls, shoulder to shoulder at the same place at the same time, discovering that rock 'n' roll is all about sex. A group epiphany, and a mighty powerful one.
