Do iMacs ship in original packaging or a brown outer box?
#12
The outer brown box is =only= to protect the packaging.
It almost always very clearly says what's in the box, or at least "Apple".

5 years ago I would have said that Apple's packaging is enough for stacking on a pallet but not enough to be bouncing individually around a truck, but they're improved it expressly for that purpose.

I will still suspend the box in another box for shipping, with at least an inch of something in between.
