[quote Ammo]I'm curious about the electronics: what are the worst offenders and what kind of savings can be expected by turning them off when not in use?
These are some recent electric bills for my 1500 sq ft victorian house in NJ with oil heat, gas hot water & electric washer:
May 30, 2008 82.73
Apr 27, 2008 111.82
Mar 31, 2008 128.90
Mar 01, 2008 134.46
Jan 27, 2008 177.27
Jan 01, 2008 152.34
The May 30 bill dropped by $29 because I began shutting down my DP 533 mhz G4 with 19" CRT monitor when I wasn't using it. I primarily use the 'ol beast as an iTunes & iPhoto server and a print server.
