I was bummed a little over a week ago when the IOGEAR GCS932U cable based DVI KVM had one cable shorter than the other, and because of the short cable, came up a few inches too short of being usable. The IOGEAR GCS1762 is a console base DVI KVM that comes w/ a pair of 6' cables, and has a couple of feet of slack to spare, but last week was at least $50-60 more than its sibling; the 932 runs about $80ish on up, and the 1762 runs about $130ish on up... when I checked back w/ Provantage a couple of days ago, they had the 1762 for $105, so we'll consider that the solution. the problem is our 28" monitor w/ DVI & VGA inputs, doesn't have a user friendly input toggle, otherwise a $20 USB K[noV]M switch for for kb & mouse would've been fine. to swap inputs requires several buttons in and out of menus and selections, and the buttons are on the back edge of the monitor where you can't see the legends.
