I liked this quote from the article: "The iPhone 3G's battery life is going to suck. Unfortunately, I don't know this for sure since Apple didn't give us the head start it gave to David Pogue of The New York Times and author of iPhone: The Missing Manual."
Maybe that's because David Pogue actually does an in-depth review of the device, not a rehash of tired arguments.
That said, I'm not going to buy an iPhone 3G. Not for any of the reasons he cites, though. I think the total cost of ownership is way too much for my needs. I do, however, have an iTouch which will be getting the 2.0 firmware sometime this weekend after the chaos has started to die down.
