Over one month with my first laptop (MBP).

(Sorry this post isn't about a Dell Mini9)

Well, it's been a little over a month w/ my first laptop (Previous generation refurbished 15.4" MacBook Pro) and I must say I really love it. I love the fact that I can work ANYWHERE in the house. Just hope the wifi works in the yard. It should seeing as soon as I slightly boosted the signal strength on my Asus router running Tomato the signal is nice and strong. One thing I'm finding is that I'm even more addicted than ever to checking my e-mails and the sites I frequent. I don't think I've booted up the G5 Tower for weeks (The wife does daily to check her e-mail).

What I haven't done yet is moved my iTunes library over yet and still haven't setup Mail (just checking Gmail and my mail online from WowWay.com) but it's probably time.

I am considering turning the Dual 1.8 G5 w/ 4 GB of memory into a osX Server. I haven't researched it much but I'm pretty sure my wife can still still do her daily tasks from the server and I can run Cubase if needed. Either way, the G5 needs at least 10.5 ASAP (Still running 10.4) to share the desktops and run "Time Machine".

Does anyone know if I can bring in POP3 e-mail on the G5 if it's running osX Server and view this e-mail via IMAP? If so, is there a way to setup IMAP to save a copy of the e-mails locally much like Exchange?

Thanks for everyones input.
