there were a gajillion emergency vehicles streaming past the bar Thursday night towards Shilshole Bay/Shilshole Ave. Must have been the swimmer 911 call. We stopped counting after a dozen. Fire Trucks, cops, battalion commander Suburbans, aid cars, Port of Seattle cops (shiloshole bay marina is Port of Seattle run/owned) and some others I am sure I missed.
Don't know what to tell you. When a swimmer drowns in Lake Union/Washington, far less of a turnout. I assume they believed there was a chance they could find him, and he may have been still alive.
