Yes, as a matter of fact, I am still reading! I assume the "tomorrow" of your post is now the "today" of today? I came back to read what rankandfile and Rain had posted about being on the eastern versus western side of the storm. It ain't lookin' good, is it? The projected landfall I saw today shows it hitting to the west of NO. 
Of course, yes, I know a lot could still change. I think you're doing the right thing. Better a live wuss than a dead tough guy.
