The Widescreen takeover. Are regular monitors a thing of the past?

I'm not fond of the Acer... not because it's widescreen, but because it sucks as a monitor. I got the "non TN" one that is supposed to have better viewing angles than a TN screen. I can't imagine there being a worse option. If I'm only 5 or 10 degrees above or below center, the color fades badly. I'm wishing I'd spent more on a better monitor.

I know what you mean, I bought what is probably the same Acer about 6 months ago. I took it back 2 days later. What a POS.

I ended up buying a used ACD. Soooo glad I did.

Say what you will but the Apple displays are beautiful. I also have a (5 year old?) 17' Apple Studio Monitor that is still chugging along, looking good.
