On my desktop computer I have been using a Kensington trackball for the last ~4 years and I wouldn't change it for ANY mouse.
When traveling I use the Logitech nano:
A VERY good mouse. Laser, small USB connector, scroll wheel that can either go very fast or incrementally and good shape.
