Based on what I heard reported on local NBC-TV this morning, repeated references to previous trials for character assasination just doesn't seem right.
Not saying he isn't an arrogant ba$turd and doesn't deserve to be doing some time for this latest round of transgression, but it does seem the prosecution was afforded some liberty.
Indulging in some more reading may shed some light on the Judge's procedural decision(s).
