A friend of mine had laser surgery on her cervix to remove a pre-cancerous growth.
She was in her mid 20's & in school working as a waitress - no insurance
Planned Parenthood covered all of her expenses (they actually discovered the condition)
It cost he nothing except the cost of transportation to go to Indy where the proceedure was offered
and her friends chipped in to help defray that cost.
For many women PP is the only womens healthcare that they get and usually at a very minimal
cost if they are able to pay. I'm thankful they were there for her or she may have ended up much worse.
