So Swampy, just what was your point in starting this thread? Was it to cause us all to gnash our teeth and wring our hands in pity? Was it to make us fear and hate all of those in the world who aren't like us? Or was it to search for a solution to the problem? If it was the first two I don't see much of a point. I would hope that a person would start a thread like this as a constructive exercise, with a constructive title, rather than yet another thread to stir up some more poo-throwing, with yet another a pot-stirring title.
If you had wanted people to start a constructive discussion about this subject it would have helped to start it out with a statement other than something like this -

Frightening! And it is spreading...Great Britain, Canada, Holland, Germany, Spain, France. Sharia law is making headway. We cannot afford to lose the war on terror because this is what the Religion of Peace holds in store if we do.

You know, something more open like -
"I find this terribly disturbing and would like to seek some solutions, something to really help these women. Do you all have any ideas?"
Instead you post something inflammatory and wonder why people dance around the flames.
