Exactly. There is no way in hell I'd rely on just the original packaging for shipping items. It is definitely not designed to deal with the rough handling of a small package carrier like UPS. Stacked on a pallet and wrapped in packaging plastic, sure. Small package carrier handling? Not a chance.
