I don't know if Caroline is qualified or not, but I think she is much better educated than Sara Palin. I also think a Law degree is better preparation for a Senate job than a degree in journalism is for Vice President.
You know I've know some very smart people in my life, from good school and they were dumb as HELL. I think just because you have a Law degree you are better able to make good decisions....not so...a law degree teaches you what the law is but it doesn't give you good sense and judgmt. And doesn't necessarily mean you are more qualified. There are a bunch a lawyers in Congress now .....and that speaks for itself.
I stand by my original post. I believe a law degree is better preparation for a career in the Senate than a journalism degree is preparation for being Vice-President of the United States. As I also said, I do not know if Caroline Kennedy is qualified or not, but she does have better qualifications, IMHO. Knowing the law is a good thing if you are going to be making the laws.
There are a lot of lawyers in Congress right now, and there are also a lot of stupid people with little education or common sense. Being smart, well educated or well qualified does not mean you will get elected. The electorate is often stupid and uneducated and may vote for people they relate to or feel they have more in common with.
