Mmmmm, See's chocolates

I think See's started in Southern California. My first memory of them is from the mid 1950s. My dad's oldest sister lived in Alhambra, and we drove down there to visit her about 1956. My mother went to See's and bought several boxes of candy to bring back up here to Washington. Of course, this was in the days long before most people had AC in their cars. What I remember most was how horrible that candy looked by the time it had such a long, hot ride. I'm pretty sure we ate it anyway!
