I went on the Adkins diet way back in the eighties. I had been on that low-carb nightmare for a long time, then I finally cracked. One of my accounts was a commercial cookie and snack cake bakery and they had given me a box full of their goodies the last time I had stopped by. I had given most of them away to people at work, but one night when I was weak and carb starved that one box of oatmeal creme pies I had foolishly kept started singing its siren song. End of story, the Adkins diet was done in by a whole box of oatmeal creme pies. I feel your pain.
