I know I know this, I've done it before but dang if I can recall.
After some upgrades and maintenance to the macs around the house, I hit an annoyance.
To switch from one user account to another requires closing all programs and logging off then signing in under the second account. I know that isn't right, it used not to be that way. I could just switch from my son's account into mine. He would still have his programs active and switching back meant not missing a beat.
it was an option in the task bar, now it is only in the apple pulldown menu.
What has my aged mind forgotten?
