Swampy, in all due respect, you are blowing hot air. You are making inflated, incendiary statements that are without a factual basis. No private funds have been shifted anywhere. Our taxes have NOT gone up at this time. You have not received instruction to send that money you've got ready for that car or plasma TV to DC/IRS, have you?

How 'bout stating some facts for a change. The US Treasury/government has to be the one to "prime the pump" by in-fluxing cash into the banking system to allow the flow of further commerce. Whether we agree with the stimulus bill or not, that influx of cash has to occur. You and I will go on paying our taxes just as we have been for the past many decades. You and i likely will not even pay much of the stim bill related new debt. our children and grandchildren will, unfortunately. Too bad we don't have the same status now of our national debt that we had 9-10 years ago. It sure would come in handy right about now, wouldn't it?
