Just installed my first compact fluorescent light bulb.

I've switched every light in my house to CFL (except for a couple candelabras) and haven't looked back. Some CFLs take more a few seconds to "warm up" to full output and I believe the brand of bulb makes a difference in perceived light output (not having a light meter to check, I'm just going by my impression). Also, the different light temperature output will make some seem less "brilliant" than others.
