Are ENELOOP rechargable batteries still the best?
#7
Hi everyone,

I noticed something interesting with Eneloop batteries and other NiMH rechargeables. My girlfriend owns a Samsung digital camera that uses AA batteries. I lent her some Powerex batteries, Ultralast batteries, and Sony batteries. All NiMH. None worked in the camera. despite working without an issue in a slew of my own electronics, i.e. alarm clock, cordless optical mouse, remote controls, etc. So, I broke out a brand-new package of eneloops. The camera worked perfectly with them. I'm not going to question it. I'm just happy I found a NiMH battery that worked because she was tearing through packages of alkaline batteries pretty quickly.
