Is $500 for a dual-core 2.3GHz G5 a good deal?
#4
Powermax is overpriced. I was checking these out on ebay last week and they're going for between $400 - $750. $500 is a pretty good price, if not the world's biggest steal. What's the configuration? With "Intel only" becoming more and more frequent, I wouldn't bet on G5s holding much real value much past the short term.

I've recently gone over to the 'G5's are a waste of money' camp. The earliest models of Mac Pro towers are starting to flirt with the under $1000 mark, so I just can't see buying any machine that's not Intel unless there's no way to wait and the money just isn't there.
