I think you should take your daughter back over to the friend's house and leave her there for the day. Tell the parents that since they created this mess, they can deal with it. 
No, I'm kidding. I do think that was extremely irresponsible of them, though. Eight year olds are way too young to be allowed to stay up all night, and I strongly suspect the fact they weren't made to go to bed was pure laziness on the part of the parents.
