Y'know, I was 13 when Tron came out, and I probably saw it half a dozen times that summer (I broke my foot on the 4th of July, and saw everything that came out several times in the aftermath), but... it really isn't very good. The premise is great, but the story isn't, and the less said about the acting (minus Jeff Bridges and David Warner), the better.
But maybe 28 years later, they can attach a great story to the snazzy visuals, and it'll work. I certainly hope so--hell, I love the lightcycles in the trailer--but far better source material than "Tron" has been dredged up in the last decade for new movies, and the track record has not been very good...
