While I find it fascinating and kind of cool that you can install different virtual keyboard software on your phone, that stuff kind of speaks to the fact that maybe the original developer should have spent more time getting the stock keyboard right. I enjoy tinkering with tech stuff as much as the next guy, but I also like to think I have a life outside of that. Having to upgrade a lot of the stock Android software -- keyboard, bookmark browser, media player -- is something that would actually keep me away from the platform.
