What's wrong with some people?
#11
"Why is it that some people choose to be total chodes when granted anonymity, like in discussion forums and the like?"

Aside from just the anonymity, there is less consequence on
the net then in "real life". In life, it's much harder to be a jerk
face to face with someone looking into your eyes (with clenched
fists etc). On the net you might get flamed.

YMMV

To answer the question at face value, rather than assume it's about cited thread:

1) It's how people are, and maybe it would behoove you to have a thicker skin if it presents a problem for you

or-

2) It's one of many things about the world that could be kinder and gentler-- if it bothers you, the question is
"what are you going to do to change it?".

If some people used their real names and didn't hide behide some silly made up ones, they'd probably be a lot more polite. Just my opinion.

I was going to pick "Mike Sellers" as my made up alias, but someone had already used it. Big Grin
