I use it as a content concentrator. Only 3 contents so far:
SciAm BadAstronomer SkepticsGuide Like any tool, Twitter has it's uses. It's your choice to use it for good or evil. Or to pat yourself on the back for not using it at all.

To be honest, I have no idea how to "follow" anyone. Seriously. If I knew maybe I'd do it.

Add me to the list of non-users/followers.

3,741 for my account
but I get paid to do it... I think I have about 24,000 followers across all of my clients accounts...

Really, there's no information that is so important to my life that I feel a need for a constant stream of real-time "updates".
If I need to know something, I will find it by other means. Not knocking "the Twitter," it's just that I haven't found it essential to living my life.

I block Twitter (and Facebook) in my browsers.

I've become a medium user of twitter in the past year, and have found it invaluable for real time news, discussion as well as for quick searches to interesting articles.
I follow about 60 people, but many of them retweet, so it's a constant stream.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of zero followers, as I don't use Twitter. I dislike the concept of "following" anything, as well. I stopped reading Digg as soon as they introduced the concept. I read a few blogs, this forum, and several news site, but I classify that as casual readership, not following.
