Freaks that want to murder you and rape your wife aren't waiting to overhear your address muttered in some state office - they just follow you home.
Who likes having your full address announced in a public place?

Kinda reminds me of the emails that were going around a few years ago that you could type in your phone number to google (or any number of reverse lookup sites) and it would give you the street address. Someone where I work posted it on our computer "bulletin board" to warn everyone. I promptly went to the county property appraiser's site, and found not only her address, but a picture of her house and how much she had paid for it, and sent it to her. I also told her that her name, phone number and address were also readily available in the phone book.

If it makes you feel any better, the past two times I've been to my local DMV they've asked for my entire social security number as a means of 'identity verification'. F******.

I've no need for anyone to know my exact address or my phone number for that matter. For some guy behind you in line to sort out where you live via public records, they'd need to know your name wouldn't they? So, i'd just as soon not have my info audible for anyone to take down should they choose.

Yeah, and then they can follow you home. There is always a way. I'll just start leaving my door unlocked and the keys in my car. I mean, why make it so hard for anyone to do anything unscrupulous? I'd still rather take my chances of someone having to follow me than just tell them I'll meet them there.

'ACME Holdings, Inc. (or LLC)' could be the entity shown on real estate records for your residence.
