It's been filtered for years. What changed? More words added to the naughty list?

(Every one of these words is unique pre-censorship-filter. I grabbed a Phorum censor list.)

Thanks for the list

Yeah. Apparently so.

The word méth (minus the accent) was censored in one of my previous posts.

What's the point of censoring the names of drugs?

Do they think we're gonna use the forum to trade recipes?

Edit: interesting... hookers and booze gets filtered ... oh the humanity!

Larry didn't sub divide the forum so took his pound of flesh with the filter.

Since it's filtering as it displays the thread, even old threads are now censored, like this one (of many, very many) referring to b00ze.

Even the forum's search function won't find those words, but Google's cache still has them and it still shows the uncensored text in it's search results.

What I don't get: why is frack censored? (Interesting, it's only that spelling that's censored.)

The whole point of sci-fi curse words is so that you DON'T have to censor them.

Frak, frell, gorram, shazbot, poodoo, smeg, farathoom, don’t bite the sun, shock. “I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle.” Smurf it all to hell! Big Grin
