I think it was in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee where Jerry Seinfeld had dinner with Carl Reiner and Mel. Apparently Carl and Mel have dinner together every night.

It was a great interview.

To this DAY, no one else in Hollywood would even DARE make Blazing Saddles... because no one else could make it FUNNY like Mel Brooks.

Just watched Monday's Conan (watch on Conan's website and only one short commercial before it starts! (tu) ) last night with Mel as a guest. Earlier Monday he had did the handprint thing and wore his fake finger to the show. As always, Mel was hilarious. He's still sharp as a tack, and looks like he'll be around for a good long time. He did that same Hitler pose from Steve G.'s pic too.

And yeah, he was WAAAAY overdue for the handprint ceremony. He said on the show when he hit Hollywood as a youngster he would go to Grauman's Chinese Theater and watch all the current stars hanging out. He never dreamed he would be among them on the sidewalk.
