I purchased a refurb 20" 2.0 GHz Intel iMac from the Apple Special Deals listings about 2 months ago and did indeed receive the "silent upgrade" of a 500 GB hard drive. So it does happen. It is a great machine; very fast. Installed Parallels Desktop and it runs Windows XP Pro just fine.
