The Google car probably has an "I'm feeling lucky" button that does the same thing.


I actually got to sit in one of the Google self driving Lexus based prototypes yesterday, it was a display at the Computer History Museum down the street from Google. One thing that I noticed was a Big Red Button on the center console, it wasn't labeled, but I'm guessing that it's an emergency disconnect of the computer controls.

Google car drivers will continually find that some sort of filter has re-enabled itself that keeps the car from going to 'certain' parts of town.
