I wear Carhart pants now because they have a pocket that fits an iPhone almost perfectly about halfway down the leg.

Might be a pickpocket thing. I don't normally look at dudes asses to see if they keep wallets and phones back there, but me personally, i like the security of keeping everything up front.

Get jeans with six pockets (lower down the leg). It makes it a little easier to pull the phone out after you have sat down in the car.

Exactly.

The Bump and Lift is neigh impossible to do when the wallet is in the front pocket.

And alternative is to wrap a wide rubber band or bands around a wallet carried in the back pocket. I've never seen this on a normal wallet, but have seen them holding lots of really fat wallets shut. They're usual accompanied by really fat guys. How can anybody even sit on something like that.

As far as an anti-theft device, I'd bet that came later.

I never carry the 'Phone in a back pocket.

Finally, side pockets are a full 12" deep so your stuff doesn't fall out.

I've heard of deep pockets, but that's a little extreme.

I agree, and I don't understand that, either. Although I certainly don't mind noticing the fact.

I wouldn't consider for a moment keeping my iPhone in a back pocket. I know I'd end up sitting on it. Plus, my 5s fits fine in a front jeans pocket. Maybe if I had a 6 it would be different, but I still wouldn't put it in the back pocket.
