may be larger than they appear?!.....looks like there will be an iPhone SE Plus....

nyet. Xr/11 are full screen -- but getting rid of the edges actually makes the phone smaller but with a taller screen.

and of course, theres still the batter life on the Xr/11 -- which is hours and hours longer than a SE 2020.

Exactly! NO non-fullscreen iPhone is 6.1". The Xr is now the slowest, oldest iPhone for sale. If the SE+ is a full screen phone at 6.1" then it will replace the Xr and 11 (since the 11 has the same chip as the SE).
I don't think we will see one of those anytime soon. But using the iPhone 11 chip in the SE will kill the Xr prematurely.

probably.

But If I was a big phone user, and price was the same, Id still rather have an Xr over the SE, chip be damned. Screen and battery are killer.

Agree, as does my daughter who is grumbling about having an old phone (my old 6s with battery#2)
