Horrific.

For me, that first video had just one ad that after 6 seconds had a "skip" button that I could then click to start watch the actual video without interruption.

Second video watched after first one ended, no ads, straight to video.

I pay $13.99 /month and no ads... are you saying I could get the same experience with add blockers?

yes - at least this has been my experience.

Fingers are crossed with every Chrome update, but so far, all is well.

This used to be what happened, now it's a rarity.

I just downloaded Brave and added AdGuard, and it works, at least in Sonoma.

I'll try it in Sierra.

I prefer Safari as my default browser, so I'll try AdGuard for it as well.

Thank you, hal.

Hm.

I just got an AdGuard notification that I'm on A free 14-day trial.

I didn't see a free vs pay option.

yeah, someone mentioned that they are paying for adguard and I commented that I was never asked for money while using it.

this is what I have installed with Brave:

AdGuard had both apps and browser extensions.

The latter are free, the former is not.

I downloaded v2.16 (app) for Safari/Sonoma.

It's a paid app, monthly, yearly, lifetime (three devices, $80).

There's a Safari extension, free, but it needs 10.13 or newer, and Sierra taps out at 10.12.6.

There's one for Firefox, so I installed it and it seems to work well.

I'll check on Safari on my Sonoma MBA, and Firefox.

One last question...

With AdGuard installed, are you logged into YT full time, part time, not at all?

Sorry for the bunny trail.
