I love that new forum smell

I decided to use a slightly more normal name while maintaining my old one for reference.

It took some work to get activated. I tried using my old name/password combination which didn’t work; I tried to reset my password, and messed that up; I tried enough times that it locked me out for 15 minutes; the forum told me I didn’t coexist when I tried searching for my name in the list of forumites, only for me to find it and thus I knew I didn’t coexist indeed exist. (Quiet down, you existential fools!!)

It told me that I needed to read the email (I did more than once); it told me that I needed to address the captya question (I did that too). Finally, I double checked email, and lo and behold, I had another email with a new password (musta done sumfin right!!). That finally worked. 

Needless to say, I don’t like giving up. Some would call it a personality flaw.

I posted my experience in another thread.   A critical missing required step is deleting cookies left over from the old forum.

Yeah, I tried all the fixes and even DL a new version of FF with no user history at all and still the same thing. 
It says I have done the activation but still will not let me in. Oh well, maybe it will get worked out, or not. The main thing is the Forum is back

I had a similar experience to Diana's experience.  Took several tries and a 15 minute lockout.  Still trying to figure out some of the idiosyncrasies of the new forum.

I went through pretty much the same thing. After getting locked out and letting it sit for an hour, I did it all again and also got a new password and here I am.

EDIT: Well, I figured out how to delete the 3 repeats of this post. I don't know how they happened but I surely did something wrong.
